Gardener's Choice Stew
 

INGREDIENTS

 
2 medium potatoes
2 carrots
2 celery stalks
1/2 medium white onion
1 green bell pepper
1 cup fresh green beans
1 large tomato
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon crushed garlic
 

DIRECTIONS

 
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Slice the carrots, mushrooms and celery stalks. Dice the onion, green pepper, and tomato. Cook the vegetables and spices with 4 1/2 cups of water on medium high heat until the potatoes are softened.
