Vegan Onion Soup
 

INGREDIENTS

 
1/2 large white onion, diced
3 tablespoons vegan margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon basil
 

DIRECTIONS

 
Melt the margarine on medium heat and stir in the onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is browned. Put all of the ingredients into a 2 1/2 quart pot with 4 cups of water. bring the soup to a boil. Allow it to continue boiling while stirring frequently for about 5 minutes to clarify the broth. Goes great with Stone Ground Wheat Bread.
