Country Style Cornbread
 

INGREDIENTS

 
2 cups unbleached flour
1 cup yellow corn meal
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
 
 

DIRECTIONS

 
In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and stir until mixed. Add the water and stir. Add the vegetable oil and stir. Grease 9x5 inch bread pan and pour the batter into the pan. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes. Goes great with Five Alarm Chili or Pinto Bean Soup.
