Stuffed Tomatoes
 

INGREDIENTS

 
4 large tomatoes
4 slices whole wheat bread
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sage
 

DIRECTIONS

Wash and core the tomatoes. Cut an X 3/4 of the way down into the tomatoes. Remove the crust from the bread and tear it into small peices. Mix the bread, celery, onion, green pepper, salt,  sage, and 1 tablespoon of water in a bowl. Stuff the tomatoes with this mixture, cover, and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.
